ACTStat is excited to call for applications for its Student Award, which recognizes the meritorious works and achievements of students who support a clinical or translational science team through the practice of statistics. Students enrolled in a full-time graduate program during the current academic year (2025-2026) are eligible to apply for the 2026 award. (Past ACTstat Student Award recipients are not eligible.)
The winner will be invited to present at the annual meeting and receive a $250 honorarium, and their conference registration fee will be waived.
Demonstrate what you have done that has contributed to team science!
To apply for the award, please email these materials to Alex Kaizer at alex.kaizer[at]cuanschutz.edu: (1) an abstract or manuscript, (2) a statement of how your work has made an impact in supporting a team and/or translational science, and (3) a resume or CV.
The submission deadline is Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11:59 pm EDT. The student award winner will be selected by a committee assembled by the president of ACTStat.
The 2026 ACTStat Annual Meeting will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, just prior to the Joint Statistical Meetings. It provides an excellent opportunity to network with researchers interested in enhancing the design, implementation, and analysis of clinical and translational science. Highlights will include: presentations from leading biostatisticians in clinical and translational science, networking opportunities to connect with peers and mentors (including a dinner on Saturday, August 1), and many other activities to foster professional development.
