Applications are now open for the Student and Early Career Award 2022!

The 2022 ACTStat Annual Meeting provides an excellent opportunity to network with researchers interested in enhancing the design, implementation, and analysis of clinical and translational studies. Highlights of the 2022 ACTStat meeting will include:

  • podium presentations from leading biostatisticians in clinical and translational science
  • vibrant discussions of topic areas relevant to providing comprehensive support for research through biostatistics cores
  • networking opportunities to connect with peers and mentors, including a networking dinner on Saturday, August 6th, and many other activities that serve to foster professional development
Apply for Student Award 2022

The purpose of the Student Award is to recognize the meritorious works and achievements of a student in support of a clinical or translational science team through the practice of statistics. Students enrolled in a full-time graduate program during the current academic year (2021-2022) are eligible to apply.

ACTStat will cover the conference registration fee for the top 10 student abstracts. In addition, the best student abstract will be invited to present at the annual meeting and receive a $250 honorarium.

Demonstrate what you have done that has contributed to team science!

To be considered for the Student Award*, please submit the below documents before Friday, May 27th, 2022.

  • Abstract or published manuscript
  • Statement of how your work has made an impact in supporting a team and/or translational science
  • A resume or CV.

The meeting this year will be held in Washington, D.C., on August 6th and 7th, before the Joint Statistical Meetings. The student award winner will be selected by a committee assembled by the president-elect of ACTStat.

*Past recipients of the Student Award are no longer eligible.

Apply to Early Career Award 2022

The purpose of the Early Career Award is to recognize the meritorious works and achievements of an early career individual among us that has provided substantial support to team clinical or translational science through the practice of statistics.  Those within seven years of their terminal degree are eligible to apply for the Early Career Award, and this award is not limited to faculty (e.g., those in industry, government, etc., are also eligible). 

The Early Career Award winner will be invited to present their work as a talk at the annual meeting and will receive a $250 honorarium.
