ACTStat is excited to call for applications for its Early Career Award, which recognizes meritorious work and achievements by an early career professional who has made significant contributions to clinical or translational science through the practice of statistics and data science.
The winner will be invited to deliver a presentation at the 2026 Annual Meeting and receive a $250 honorarium. In-person attendance at the conference is required.

Eligibility
Individuals applying for the award must be within seven years of their terminal degree at the time of the annual meeting. The award is not limited to academic faculty or those with PhDs; individuals working in industry, government, and non-faculty professional roles are encouraged to apply.
Past recipients of the award are not eligible to receive it again, but they may submit their work to the conference for consideration as a poster presentation.
Apply
Your application packet must consist of (1) an abstract (1,200 characters maximum), (2) an impact statement describing how your work has supported team clinical or translational science (2 pages maximum), and (3) your resume, biosketch, or CV.
Materials may be submitted in Word or as PDFs. The packet should be emailed to Philip Schulte at president_elect@actstat.org.
The submission deadline is Wednesday, April 1, at 11:59 pm EDT. The Early Career Award winner will be selected by a committee assembled by the president-elect of ACTStat, with notification expected by the end of April.
About the Annual Meeting
The 2026 ACTStat Annual Meeting will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, just prior to the Joint Statistical Meetings. It provides an excellent opportunity to network with researchers interested in enhancing the design, implementation, and analysis of clinical and translational science.
